Short, direct answers — no jargon, no hype. If something is missing, email contact@dovamfg.com and we'll answer (and add it here).
Discrete and process manufacturing — paint and coatings, metal fabrication, aerospace parts, assembly lines, any plant that runs scheduled production with machines that go up and down. If your shift report today is an Excel sheet or a whiteboard, DOVA fits.
Both, kept small. The MES side: work orders, live production tracking, OEE, and the shop-floor display. The CMMS side: downtime capture with reason codes, recurring-issue patterns, and time-to-resolution tracking. We deliberately do not try to be an ERP or a full enterprise asset management system.
No. DOVA sits alongside them. Import your schedule once, run production tracking in DOVA, and keep your ERP for accounting and orders. For ERPs we connect to today, see the Integrations page.
Yes. The Starter plan covers one location and up to 10 users. Most small plants are running within a day.
One business day for most plants. Create the account, add your location and departments, upload a schedule file, invite your team, pair a TV display. That is it — no multi-month consulting engagement.
No. DOVA is a web app. If you can use Gmail, you can set up DOVA. For enterprise rollouts with SSO, ERP connections, or multi-site data flows, an IT person helps — but single-plant setup requires nothing special.
No. DOVA runs in any modern browser. For the shop-floor TV view, any display with a web browser works — fire tablets, stick PCs, regular TVs. Operator stations can be existing PCs, tablets, or phones.
Operator stations run as a Progressive Web App with offline support. Data is captured locally and syncs when the connection returns. A 30-minute wifi outage does not lose data.
We ship a connector for ERPNext today. SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, and Dynamics 365 are available as a scoped engagement for enterprise customers. A direct PostgreSQL connection also works for homegrown systems. The full list and roadmap live on the Integrations page.
Direct machine protocols — MTConnect, OPC UA, Modbus, MQTT — are on the roadmap for Q3–Q4 2026. Today, operators capture downtime at the station with reason codes. Machine-level direct capture is the next major release.
You own your data. Company Admins can export any dataset to CSV from the admin panel. If you cancel, we provide a full export and delete your data — we do not hold it hostage.
User and location limits depend on the plan. Contact us at contact@dovamfg.com for details.
Yes. DOVA is responsive and works on phones, tablets, and desktops. Most plants run a mix — tablets at stations, phones for supervisors walking the floor, desktops in the office.
Yes. The Locations Overview shows OEE, downtime, and rejection counts across every plant in one view. Per-plant drill-down is one click.
Not yet. DOVA is pre-launch and SOC 2 Type I preparation is scheduled for Q3 2026. We are transparent about this — no fake badges. Encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest (AES-256), role-based access control, and a DPA are all available today. Full details at /security.
