Creating, running, and closing work orders
3 min read
Work orders can come from an imported schedule or be created manually. Either way they move through the same status flow.
The status flow
- Scheduled — imported or created, not yet started.
- In progress — an operator has started the WO at a station.
- Paused — temporarily stopped, usually during a downtime event.
- Closed — completed quantities and rejection counts are recorded.
What an operator does
Clock into a work order at the station, enter completed and rejected quantities as the shift runs, log any downtime with a reason code, and close out when done. Everything updates the dashboard live.
